The Doughnut Clause

“It didn’t stop someone from reaching out, but it changed the interaction. Instead of another ordinary sales drop-in, it became memorable. It made our team laugh and turned a small front-door problem into a creative brand moment”

-Benjamin Moore, CEO

Every day, people walk through our front door. Some are customers, partners, vendors, and delivery drivers. Others are salespeople stopping by unannounced, hoping to get a few minutes of our time.

Like many businesses, those unexpected visits became a regular part of the day.

At Bubble Paper, we tend to approach problems a little differently. We like practical solutions, but we also believe they should have personality. A plain "No Soliciting" sign would have done the job, but it wouldn't have felt like us. We wanted to protect our team's time while still being welcoming and giving people a reason to smile.

The solution was simple: create a no-soliciting sign with one unexpected line at the bottom.

"Persuaded only by Krispy Kreme."

It didn't take long before another salesperson stopped by. This time, though, they showed up with a box of doughnuts.

Bubble Paper is built on hands-on creative problem-solving. Most days, that means helping brands replace plastic packaging, reduce breakage, save warehouse space, or improve their packing stations.

But every now and then, that creativity shows up in unexpected places.

Sometimes, it's right on the front door.

And this time, it came glazed.
